Best Ingredients To Look For In Skincare Products

The best ingredients to keep your eye out for in products for healthy, younger looking and glowing skin. I have also listed HOW these items benefit your skin, skincare is important 365 days a year, however we all have bad skin days and here are tips to keep those "bad skin days" under control! #skincare #health #skin #skincareproducts #selfcare

Tea Tree

Tea tree is commonly used for treating acne (and scars) and inflammation. The benefits of using a product that contains tea tree is:

  • Helps soothe dry skin and eczema

  • Combat oily skin

  • Aid itchy or irritated skin

  • Inflammation (redness or puffiness)

  • Its antibacterial properties can be effective on cuts, infections and scars

  • Acne (as most commonly used for)

  • Supports the process of healing psoriasis

Cucumber

There are many benefits for cucumber to reduce pores, main uses are to soothe skin due to it containing 96% water. The benefits of using a cucumber mask or oil are:

  • Reduces swelling and puffiness

  • Aids acne-prone skin

  • Helps combat premature aging

  • Soothes irritation (and redness)

  • Provides a base for hydration (basically helps the water that you drink wash out your pores much better than usual)

Charcoal

I know you might be thinking "what am I supposed to do with something I grill my burgers on?". Charcoal products are personally my favourite and here are the benefits as to why:

  • Cleanses the skin

  • Unclogs pores (that some other products can't do)

  • Removes deeper impurities

  • Removes dead skin cells

  • Leaves skin super smooth

  • Provides evenly-toned skin

  • Eliminates dirt, toxins and chemicals

Charcoal attracts dirt, unwanted oils, chemicals and poisons on your skin and leaves pores completely washed away.

Rose water

Like a toner, rose water supports the process of washing out pores and unwanted oils on the skin. Not only does it smell amazing but the other benefits of rose water are:

  • Reduce redness

  • Soothe irritation

  • Eliminate acne and dermatitis

  • Help get rid of eczema

  • Aids removing unwanted oils

  • Gets rid of dirt beneath the skin and in deep pores

  • Leave skin feeling fresh and immaculate

Honey

Honey is a humectant, this means it helps absorb and retain moisture in the skin, other benefits include:

  • Helps soothe sunburn

  • Helps moisturize the skin

  • Boost the process of healing wounds

  • Fights against skin aging

  • Reduces infection and acne

  • Lightens blemishes (also reducing redness)
